How to change rear Anti Roll Bar Link on VOLVO XC90 1 TUTORIAL | AUTODOC
All the parts you need to replace – Anti Roll Bar Links for XC90 I (275) and other VOLVO models
Replace the stabiliser links on Volvo XC90 1 in pairs.
The replacement procedure is identical for both stabiliser links on the same axle.
All work should be done with the engine stopped.
Replacement: anti roll bar links – Volvo XC90 1. Recommended sequence of steps:
Step 1
Lift the car using a jack or place it over an inspection pit.
Step 2
Clean the stabiliser link fasteners. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.
Step 3
Unscrew the fastener connecting the stabilizer link to the stabilizer bar. Use a combination spanner #18. Use Torx T40. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 4
Unscrew the fastener connecting the stabilizer link to the control arm. Use a combination spanner #18. Use Torx T40. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 5
Remove the fastening bolt.
Step 6
Remove the stabilizer rod.
Replacement: anti roll bar links – Volvo XC90 1. AUTODOC experts recommend:
Examine stabiliser bushes. Replace them if needed.
Step 7
Clean the mounting seats of the stabiliser link. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.
Step 8
Ιnstall the transverse stabilizer link.
Step 9
Tighten the fastener connecting the stabilizer link to the stabilizer bar. Use a combination spanner #18. Use Torx T40. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 50 Nm torque.
Step 10
Install the rod fastening to the stabilizer and tighten it. Use a combination spanner #18. Use Torx T40. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 50 Nm torque.
Step 11
Treat all joints of the stabiliser link. Use copper grease.
Step 12
Lower the car.
