Raise the engine cover, holding it on two sides simultaneously.
Step 6
Clean the fuel filter. Use all-purpose cleaning spray.
Step 7
Loosen the fastening clamps of the fuel filter pipes. Use hose clamp pliers with retainer.
Step 8
Detach the tubes from the fuel filter.
Replacement: fuel filter – SEAT INCA (6K9). Tip from AUTODOC experts:
Be careful! Fuel may leak from the filter housing and hoses.
Step 9
Loosen the fuel filter mounting. Use a Phillips screwdriver.
Step 10
Remove the fuel filter pipe retainer.
Step 11
Disconnect the pipe from the fuel filter.
Step 12
Remove the fuel filter. Put the old filter cartridge in the container.
Step 13
Install a new fuel filter.
Replacement: fuel filter – SEAT INCA (6K9). Tip from AUTODOC:
Make sure that the fuel filter is positioned correctly. Consider the fuel flow direction mark.During installation, take care to prevent dust and dirt from getting into the fuel filter housing.SEAT INCA (6K9) – It's important to only use high-quality filters.
Step 14
Tighten the fuel filter fasteners. Use a Phillips screwdriver.
Step 15
Remove the o-rings. Use a flat screwdriver.
Step 16
Install new o-rings.
Step 17
Attach the pipe to the fuel filter.
Step 18
Install the fuel filter pipe retainer.
Step 19
Attach the tubes to the fuel filter.
Step 20
Tighten the fastening clamps of the fuel filter pipes. Use hose clamp pliers with retainer.
Step 21
Install the engine cover and secure it.
Replacement: fuel filter – SEAT INCA (6K9). Tip from AUTODOC experts:
Make sure the engine cover is properly seated. It should not be displaced with respect to the guiding fasteners.Do not apply excessive force when installing the part. Otherwise you may damage the fasteners.
Step 22
Screw in the engine cover fasteners. Use a drive socket #10.
Step 23
Install the engine cover caps.
Replacement: fuel filter – SEAT INCA (6K9). Tip from AUTODOC:
Before starting off, switch the ignition on and off several times. This should be done to activate the fuel pump to make it pump fuel through the fuel system.
Step 24
Run the engine for a few minutes. This is necessary in order to make sure that the component operates properly.
Step 25
Shut off the engine.
Step 26
Remove the fender protection cover.
Step 27
Close the hood.
Replacement: fuel filter – SEAT INCA (6K9). Tip:
To protect the environment from pollution, be sure to dispose of the used filters at special collection points.
