Ensure adequate ventilation of the workplace. Fuel vapors are poisonous.
Please note: all work on the car – RENAULT MODUS / GRAND MODUS (F/JP0_) – should be done with the engine switched off.
Carry out replacement in the following order:
Step 1
Open the fuel door. Unscrew the fuel filler cap.
Step 2
Lift the car and set it on jack stands.
Step 3
Prepare a container for fluids.
Step 4
Squeeze the clips and detach the fuel supply lines from the fuel filter housing. Use fuel line pliers.

Be careful! Fuel may leak from the filter housing and hoses.
Step 5
Remove the fuel filter. Use a crowbar. Put the old filter cartridge in the container.
Step 6
Install a new fuel filter.

Remember, it is important not to mix up the input and output of the filter. Arrows on the filter indicate the direction of fuel flow.During installation, take care to prevent dust and dirt from getting into the fuel filter housing.Attention! Step 7
Connect the fuel lines to the fuel filter and lock the fastening clips.
Step 8
Lower the car.
Step 9
Tighten the fuel filler cap. Close the fuel door.

Before starting off, switch the ignition on and off several times. This should be done to activate the fuel pump to make it pump fuel through the fuel system.
Step 10
Run the engine for a few minutes. This is necessary in order to make sure that the component operates properly.

Shut off the engine.
