All the parts you need to replace – Fuel Filter for C-Class Coupe (CL203) and other MERCEDES-BENZ models
Ensure adequate ventilation of the workplace. Fuel vapors are poisonous.
Please note: all work on the car – MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS Coupe (CL203) – should be done with the engine switched off.
Carry out replacement in the following order:
Step 1
Open the hood.
Step 2
Use a fender protection cover to prevent damaging paintwork and plastic parts of the car.
Step 3
Unscrew the engine cover fastener. Use Torx T25. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 4
Unscrew the fasteners of the back section of the engine cover. Use a drive socket #10. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 5
Remove the back section of the engine cover.
AUTODOC recommends:
Replacement: fuel filter – MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS Coupe (CL203). Do not use excessive force when removing the part as this may damage it.
Step 6
Remove the engine cover.
AUTODOC recommends:
Replacement: fuel filter – MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS Coupe (CL203). To avoid damaging the part when removing it, do not use excessive force.
Step 7
Clean the fuel filter housing and the cover. Use all-purpose cleaning spray.
Step 8
Loosen the fuel filter mounting. Use HEX No.H5. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 9
Loosen the fastening clamps of the fuel filter pipes. Use a drive socket #5.5. Use a drive socket #7. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 10
Detach the tubes from the fuel filter. Use round-nose pliers.
Replacement: fuel filter – MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS Coupe (CL203). Tip:
Be careful! Fuel may leak from the filter housing and hoses.
Step 11
Remove the fuel filter.
Step 12
Install a new fuel filter.
Replacement: fuel filter – MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS Coupe (CL203). Tip from AUTODOC:
Make sure that the fuel filter is positioned correctly. Consider the fuel flow direction mark.During installation, take care to prevent dust and dirt from getting into the fuel filter housing.MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS Coupe (CL203) – It's important to only use high-quality filters.
Step 13
Clean the fuel filter housing and the cover. Use all-purpose cleaning spray.
Step 14
Attach the pipe to the fuel filter.
Step 15
Tighten the fastening clamp of the fuel filter pipe. Use a drive socket #5.5. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 16
Press the fuel primer pump several times until it gets hard. Use a bulb hand fuel pump.
Step 17
Attach the pipe to the fuel filter.
Step 18
Tighten the fastening clamp of the fuel filter pipe. Use a drive socket #7. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 19
Clean the fuel filter housing and the cover. Use all-purpose cleaning spray.
Step 20
Screw in the fuel filter mounting bracket. Use HEX No.H5. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 21
Run the engine for a few minutes. This is necessary in order to make sure that the component operates properly.
Step 22
Shut off the engine.
Step 23
Install the engine cover and secure it.

Replacement: fuel filter – MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS Coupe (CL203). Do not use excessive force during installation. This may damage the part.
Step 24
Screw in the engine cover fasteners. Use Torx T25. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 25
Put the back section of the engine cover back in place.

Replacement: fuel filter – MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS Coupe (CL203). To avoid damaging the part during installation, do not use excessive force.
Step 26
Screw in the fasteners of the back section of the engine cover. Use a drive socket #10. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 27
Remove the fender protection cover.
Step 28
Close the hood.
