If you are using a jack, make sure it rests on a flat surface without any unevenness.Be sure to additionally secure the car with jack stands.

Unscrew the wheel bolts.
AUTODOC recommends:
Warning! To avoid injury, hold the wheel while unscrewing the fastening bolts. Nissan X Trail T30

Remove the wheel.
Step 16
Unscrew the fastener connecting the drive shaft to the wheel hub. Use a drive socket #32. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 17
Remove the fastening nut.
Step 18
Clean the ABS sensor fastener. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.
Step 19
Unscrew the ABS sensor fastener. Use a drive socket #10. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 20
Remove the fastening bolt.
Step 21
Disconnect the ABS sensor. Use a crowbar.
Step 22
Clean the fastener connecting the tie rod end to the steering knuckle. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.
Step 23
Unscrew the end fastening nut to the steering knuckle. Use a drive socket #22. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 24
Disconnect the tie rod end from the steering knuckle. Use a ball joint puller.
Step 25
Spread the brake pads. Use a crowbar.
Step 26
Clean the brake caliper bracket fasteners. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.

Unscrew the brake caliper bracket fasteners. Use a drive socket #22. Use a ratchet wrench.

Remove the fastening bolts.

Remove the brake caliper together with its bracket.
Replacement: wheel bearing – Nissan X Trail T30. AUTODOC recommends:
Tie the caliper to the suspension or to the body with a wire without disconnecting from the brake hose to prevent depressurization of the brake system.Make sure that the brake caliper is not hanging on the brake hose.Don't press the brake pedal after the brake caliper has been removed. As a result, the piston can fall out from the brake cylinder, and brake fluid leakage and depressurization of the system may occur.

Remove the brake disc.

Clean the fastener connecting the ball joint to the steering knuckle. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.
Step 32
Remove the cotter pin that secures the fastener connecting the ball joint to the steering knuckle. Use a crowbar.
Step 33
Loosen the fastener connecting the ball joint to the steering knuckle. Use a combination spanner #22.
Step 34
Clean the fasteners connecting the shock strut to the steering knuckle. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.
Step 35
Unscrew the fasteners connecting the suspension strut to the steering knuckle. Use a combination spanner #17. Use a drive socket #19. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 36
Remove the fastening bolts.
Step 37
Disconnect the steering knuckle from the shock absorber strut.
Step 38
Detach the driveshaft from the steering knuckle.
Replacement: wheel bearing – Nissan X Trail T30. Tip:
Make sure that the drive shaft is not unloaded (when the car is jacked).

Fix the shock absorber strut on the steering knuckle.

Install the fastening bolts.

Unscrew the ball joint fastening to the steering knuckle.

Disconnect the ball joint from the steering knuckle. Use a ball joint puller.

Disconnect the steering knuckle from the shock absorber strut.

Remove the steering knuckle together with the wheel hub.

Clean the wheel hub bearing retaining ring. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.

Remove the hub from the steering knuckle. Bush and bearing driver set.

Press out the wheel hub bearing. Bush and bearing driver set.

Clean the hub bearing mounting seat. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.

Install the wheel hub bearing retaining ring. Use circlip pliers.

Press-fit the new bearing into the steering knuckle. Use a bush and bearing driver set.
Replacement: wheel bearing – Nissan X Trail T30. Tip from AUTODOC:
Check to make sure the wheel hub bearing is positioned correctly. Avoid its misalignment.

Install the wheel hub bearing retaining ring. Use circlip pliers.
Step 56
Dismantle the inner bearing race that is remaining on the hub. Use a bush and bearing driver set. Use a bearing separator.
Step 57
Clean the wheel hub mounting seat. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.
Step 58
Install the wheel hub on the steering knuckle. Use a bush and bearing driver set.
Replacement: wheel bearing – Nissan X Trail T30. Professionals recommend:
Check to make sure the wheel hub bearing is positioned correctly. Avoid its misalignment.

Clean the mounting seats of the shock strut. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.
Step 60
Clean the splines of the drive shaft CV joint. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.

Treat the splines of the driveshaft CV joint. Use copper grease.

Clean the fastener connecting the ball joint to the steering knuckle. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.

Install the steering knuckle assembled with the wheel hub.

Connect the ball joint to the steering knuckle.

Install the drive shaft.

Fix the shock absorber strut on the steering knuckle.

Tighten the lower fasteners connecting the shock strut to the steering knuckle. Use a combination spanner #17. Use a drive socket #19. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 140 Nm torque.

Clean the hub. Use a wire brush.

Treat the contacting surface. Use ceramic grease.

Install the brake disc.

Install the brake caliper together with its bracket.

Tighten the fastener that connects the ABS sensor to the steering knuckle. Use a drive socket #10. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 9 Nm torque.

Clean the fastener connecting the tie rod end to the steering knuckle. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.

Connect the tie rod end to the steering knuckle.

Tighten the fastening nut connecting the tie rod end to the steering knuckle. Use a drive socket #22. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 48 Nm torque.

Treat the shock strut fasteners. Treat the fastener connecting the tie rod end to the steering knuckle. Treat the ball joint fastener. Use copper grease.

Tighten the CV axle fastener. Use a drive socket #32. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 294 Nm torque.

Install the cotter pin. Use a crowbar.

Treat the CV axle fastener. Use copper grease.

Clean the wheel rim mounting seat. Use a wire brush.

Treat the surface where the brake disc contacts the wheel rim. Use ceramic grease.

Clean the brake disk surface. Use a brake cleaner.
AUTODOC recommends:
Replacement: wheel bearing – Nissan X Trail T30. After applying the spray, wait a few minutes.

Install the wheel.

Screw in the wheel bolts. Use wheel impact socket #21.

Lower the car and working in a cross order, tighten the wheel bolts. Use wheel impact socket #21. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 118 Nm torque.
Without starting the engine, press the brake pedal several times until you feel significant resistance.Check the brake fluid level in the expansion tank and refill if necessary.
Step 95
Tighten the brake fluid reservoir cap. Close the hood.
