Replacement: brake caliper repair kit – RENAULT MASTER II Bus (JD). AUTODOC recommends:
- All the work should be carried out with the ignition switched off.
Replacement: brake caliper repair kit – RENAULT MASTER II Bus (JD). Take the following steps:
- Step 1Open the bonnet.Step 2
Loosen the brake fluid reservoir cap. - Step 3
If you are going to use a jack, secure the wheels with chocks. - Step 4
Loosen the wheel fasteners. Use a 24 mm wheel impact socket. Use a tommy bar. - Step 5
Raise the car.Warning!If you are using a jack, make sure the car is parked on a hard, flat surface.Make sure to additionally secure the car with jack stands. - Step 6
Unscrew the wheel fasteners.Replacement: brake caliper repair kit – RENAULT MASTER II Bus (JD). Tip:To avoid injury, hold up the wheel when unscrewing the fasteners. - Step 7
Remove the wheel. - Step 8
Spread the brake pads apart. Use a mounting lever. - Step 9
Prepare a fluid drain pan. - Step 10
Clean the areas where the brake hoses are connected to the brake caliper. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray. - Step 11
Pinch one of the brake hoses with a brake hose clamp. - Step 12
Unscrew the nut fitting that connects the brake hose to the brake caliper. Use a 10 mm flare nut wrench. - Step 13
Close the opening in the caliper with a plug. - Step 14Repeat the same steps to disconnect the other brake hose.Step 15
Unscrew the lower brake caliper fastener. Use a 13 mm socket. Use a ratchet wrench. - Step 16
Unscrew the upper brake caliper fastener. Use a 17 mm socket. Use a ratchet wrench. - Step 17
Remove the fastening bolts. - Step 18
Remove the brake caliper. - Step 19
Remove the brake pads. - Step 20
Remove the lower guide pin of the brake caliper. Use adjustable pliers. - Step 21
Remove the boot of the lower guide pin. - Step 22
Remove the upper guide pin of the brake caliper. Use a slotted screwdriver. - Step 23
Remove the boots of the upper guide pin. Use a mounting lever. Use a hammer. Use a vise clamp. - Step 24
Press out the bushings of the upper guide pin. Use a bush and bearing driver set and a hydraulic press. - Step 25
Clean the guide pin mounting seats on the brake caliper. Use a wire brush. Use a wire bore brush. Use an all-purpose cleaning spray. - Step 26
Press in the new bushings of the upper guide pin. Use a bush and bearing driver set and a hydraulic press. - Step 27
Install the new boots of the upper guide pin. Use a bush and bearing driver set and a hydraulic press. - Step 28
Treat the new upper guide pin. Use brake caliper guide pin grease. - Step 29
Install the new upper guide pin. Use a slotted screwdriver. - Step 30
Install a new boot for the lower guide pin. - Step 31
Treat the new lower guide pin. Use brake caliper guide pin grease. - Step 32
Install the new lower guide pin. Use a slotted screwdriver. - Step 33
Clean the brake caliper bracket. Use a wire brush. Use an all-purpose cleaning spray. - Step 34
Install the brake pads. - Step 35
Install the brake caliper. - Step 36
Install the fastening bolts.
