- All the work should be carried out with the ignition switched off.

- Step 1
Secure the wheels with chocks. - Step 2
Loosen the wheel fasteners. Use a 19 mm wheel impact socket. Use a tommy bar. - Step 3Raise the car.Replacement: ball joint – VAUXHALL VIVARO Platform/Chassis (E7). AUTODOC recommends:If you are using a jack, make sure the car is parked on a hard, flat surface.Make sure to additionally secure the car with jack stands.Step 4
Unscrew the wheel fasteners.Caution!To avoid injury, hold up the wheel when unscrewing the fasteners. - Step 5
Remove the wheel. - Step 6
Detach the ABS sensor wiring. - Step 7
Clean all the control arm fasteners. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray. - Step 8
Unscrew the fastener that connects the ball joint to the steering knuckle. Use a 24 mm combination spanner. - Step 9
Remove the fastening nut. - Step 10
Support the steering knuckle. Use a transmission jack or an additional vehicle jack. - Step 11
Disconnect the ball joint from the steering knuckle. Use a U-bolt with a plate. Use a mounting lever. - Step 12
Unscrew the front fastener that connects the control arm to the subframe. Use a 21 mm combination spanner. Use a 30 mm socket. Use a ratchet wrench. - Step 13
Remove the fastening bolt. - Step 14
Unscrew the rear fastener that connects the control arm to the subframe. Use a 21 mm combination spanner. Use a 21 mm socket. Use a ratchet wrench. - Step 15
Remove the fastening bolt. - Step 16
Remove the control arm together with the ball joint. Remove the ball joint cover. Use a mounting lever. - Step 17
Clean the control arm mounting seats. Use a wire brush. Use an all-purpose cleaning spray. - Step 18
Install a new ball joint. - Step 19
Install the fastening bolts. Use an 18 mm combination spanner. Use a 19 mm socket. Use a ratchet wrench. - Step 20
Install the control arm. - Step 21
Install the fastening bolts.
