                      Wire brush
                    
                      WD-40 spray
                    
                      All-purpose cleaning spray

                      16 mm combination spanner
                    
                      13 mm socket
                    
                      H5 Allen key
                    
                      19 mm wheel impact socket
                    
                      Ratchet wrench or power tool for removal/installation of threaded fasteners
                    
                      Tommy bar
                    
                      Car lift or jack with jack stands, and wheel chocks

Replacement: anti roll bar links – OPEL VIVARO Platform/Chassis. AUTODOC experts recommend:

Replace the anti-roll bar links and bushes in pairs.
The replacement procedure is identical for the anti-roll bar links and bushes on both sides of the same axle.
All the work should be carried out with the ignition switched off.

Replacement: anti roll bar links – OPEL VIVARO Platform/Chassis. Take the following steps:

Step 1

Secure the wheels with chocks.
Step 2

Loosen the fasteners of the front wheels. Use a 19 mm wheel impact socket. Use a tommy bar.
Step 3

Raise the vehicle.

Replacement: anti roll bar links – OPEL VIVARO Platform/Chassis. Tip:
If you are using a jack, make sure the car is parked on a hard, flat surface.Make sure to additionally secure the car with jack stands.
Step 4

Unscrew the wheel fasteners.

Caution!
To avoid injury, hold up the wheel when unscrewing the fasteners.
Step 5

Remove the wheel.
Step 6

Clean the fasteners of the anti-roll bar link. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.
Step 7

Unscrew the fastener connecting the anti-roll bar link to the suspension strut. Use a 16 mm combination spanner. Use an H5 Allen key to secure the ball stud. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 8

Unscrew the fastener connecting the anti-roll bar link to the anti-roll bar. Use a 16 mm combination spanner. Use an H5 Allen key to secure the ball stud. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 9

Remove the anti-roll bar link.
Step 10

Clean the mounting seats of the anti-roll bar link. Use a wire brush. Use an all-purpose cleaning spray.
Step 11

Remove the other wheel.

Step 12

Follow the same steps to remove the other anti-roll bar link.
Step 13

Install a new anti-roll bar link and its fasteners. Use a 16 mm combination spanner. Use an H5 Allen key to secure the ball stud. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 14

Tighten the fastener connecting the anti-roll bar link to the anti-roll bar. Use a 16 mm combination spanner. Use a torque wrench. Tightening torque: 44 N·m.
Step 15

Tighten the fastener connecting the anti-roll bar link to the suspension strut. Use a 16 mm combination spanner. Use a torque wrench. Tightening torque: 44 N·m.
Step 16

Follow the same steps to install a new anti-roll bar link on the other side.
Step 17

Clean the wheel mounting seat. Use a wire brush. Use an all-purpose cleaning spray.
Step 18

Treat the brake disc surface that contacts the wheel rim. Use ceramic grease.
Step 19

Install the wheels.

Replacement: anti roll bar links – OPEL VIVARO Platform/Chassis. AUTODOC recommends:
To avoid injury, hold up the wheel when screwing in the fasteners.
Step 20

Screw in the wheel fasteners. Use a 19 mm wheel impact socket. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 21

Lower the car and tighten the wheel fasteners in a criss-cross pattern. Use a 19 mm wheel impact socket. Use a torque wrench. Tightening torque: 142 N·m.
Step 22

Remove the jack, jack stands, and wheel chocks.
