All the parts you need to replace – Oil Filter for 308 CC (4B_) and other PEUGEOT models
Replacement: engine oil and filter – PEUGEOT 308 CC. AUTODOC recommends:
Replace the oil filter every time when changing motor oil.
Wear gloves to prevent contact with hot liquid.
All work should be done with the engine stopped.
Replacement: engine oil and filter – PEUGEOT 308 CC. Recommended sequence of steps:
Step 1
Open the hood.
Step 2
Use a fender protection cover to prevent damaging paintwork and plastic parts of the car.
Step 3.1
Disconnect the vacuum sensor.
Step 3.2
Squeeze the clamp with combination pliers and disconnect the vacuum valve hose.
Step 4
Unscrew the clamps and disconnect the charger intake hose from the air filter housing.
Step 5
Loosen the binding clamps attaching the air duct to the air filter housing and to the charger. Use a combination spanner #7.
Step 6
Disconnect the crankcase ventilation hose from the air duct.
Step 7
Disconnect the charger intake hose from the air filter housing.
Step 8
Unscrew the clamp and fasteners on the air filter intake pipe. Use a combination spanner #7. Use a drive socket #10.
Step 9
Disconnect the air intake pipe from the air filter housing.
Step 10
Clean the oil filter housing cap.
Step 11
Unscrew the filter housing cap together with the old filter element. Use a drive socket #27.
Step 12
Prepare a container for the old oil filter.
Step 13
Remove the filter element from the filter housing. Put the old filter cartridge in the container.
Step 14
Cover the oil filter housing with a microfibre towel to prevent dirt and foreign objects from getting into the system.
Step 15
Unscrew the oil filler plug.
Step 16
Lift the car using a jack or place it over an inspection pit.
AUTODOC recommends:
The vehicle must be on even keel, and if it is at an angle, the drain plug must be at the lowest point.
Step 17
Put a waste oil container with at least 5 l capacity under the drainage hole.
Step 18
Unscrew the drain plug. Use HEX No.H8.
Step 19
Drain the used oil.
Replacement: engine oil and filter – PEUGEOT 308 CC. Tip:
Caution! The oil may be hot.Wait until the oil has completely drained from the drainage hole.
Step 20
Clean the area of the oil pan drainage hole.
Step 21
Screw in the new drainage plug and tighten it. Use HEX No.H8. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 30 Nm torque.
Step 22
Lower the car.
Step 23
Remove the oil filter cover O-ring. Use a flat screwdriver.
Step 24
Install a new O-ring to its mounting seat on the filter cover.
Step 25
Lubricate the rubber seal of the new filter with a little amount of fresh oil.
Step 26
Remove the microfibre towel from the oil filter housing.
Step 27
Screw the new filter into its place.
Step 28
Screw the cap. Use a torque wrench. Use a drive socket #27. Tighten it to 25 Nm torque.
Step 29
Connect the air intake pipe to the air filter housing.
Step 30
Tighten the clamp and fasteners on the air filter intake pipe. Use a combination spanner #7. Use a drive socket #10.
Step 31
Connect the charger intake hose to the air filter housing.
Step 32
Tighten the binding clamps that attach the air duct to the air filter housing and to the charger. Use a combination spanner #7.
Step 33
Connect the crankcase ventilation hose to the air duct.
Step 34
Connect the vacuum sensor. Squeeze the clamp with combination pliers and connect the vacuum valve hose.
Step 35
Unscrew the oil filler plug. Insert the funnel.
Step 36
Pour oil into the engine through the filler. Required amount of oil: 4.25 l.

Use the oil recommended by the manufacturer.
Step 37
Check the oil level using the dipstick. Top up oil if necessary.

The oil level should be between the Min and Max marks.

Tighten the oil filler cap.
Step 39
Run the engine for a few minutes. After the oil pressure warning light goes out, stop the engine.
Step 40
Check the oil level 5 minutes after the stop of the engine operation using a dipstick and add oil if necessary.
AUTODOC recommends:
The oil level should be between the Min and Max marks.Make sure that the oil filler cap is properly tightened.Check the threaded plug of the drainage hole and the oil filter seal for tightness. If necessary, carefully tighten them up.
Step 41
Remove the fender protection cover.
Step 42
Close the hood.

Note that oil pressure warning light, which indicates insufficient pressure in the lubrication system, may be on for a longer time than usual. After a few seconds, the oil will fill all the channels, and the light will go out. To protect the environment from pollution, be sure to dispose of the used filters at special collection points.
