Replacement: air filter – AUDI ALLROAD (4BH, C5). AUTODOC experts recommend:

Please note: all work on the car – AUDI ALLROAD (4BH, C5) – should be done with the engine switched off.
Carry out replacement in the following order:
Step 1
Open the hood.
Step 2
Use a fender protection cover to prevent damaging paintwork and plastic parts of the car.
Step 3
Remove the air filter housing cover.
AUTODOC recommends:
Replacement: air filter – AUDI ALLROAD (4BH, C5). Do not use excessive force when removing the part as this may damage it.
Step 4
Unscrew the fasteners of the air distribution housing assembly. Use a Phillips screwdriver.
Step 5
Remove the air distribution housing assembly.
Step 6
Detach the mass air flow sensor connector.
Step 7
Release the air filter cover clips.
Step 8
Slightly raise the cover of the air filter housing.
Step 9
Remove the filter element from the filter housing.
Step 10
Cover the air intake hose with a microfibre towel to prevent dust and dirt from getting into the system.
Step 11
Clean the air filter cover and housing.
Replacement: air filter – AUDI ALLROAD (4BH, C5). Tip from AUTODOC:
Before cleaning the air filter cover and housing, cover the air duct parts, mass airflow sensor (if available), throttle valve with a clean cloth.
Step 12
Remove the microfibre towel from the air intake hose.
Step 13
Insert a new filter element into the filter housing. Make sure that the filter edge fits tight to the housing.
Replacement: air filter – AUDI ALLROAD (4BH, C5). AUTODOC recommends:
Check out the correct location of the filter element. Do not skew.Attention! Use quality filters – AUDI ALLROAD (4BH, C5).During installation, make sure to prevent dust and dirt from getting into the air filter housing.
Step 14
Reinstall the air filter cover. Fasten it.
AUTODOC recommends:
Replacement: air filter – AUDI ALLROAD (4BH, C5). Do not use excessive force during installation. This may damage the part.
Step 15
Press the air filter cover clips into place.
Step 16
Treat the mass air flow sensor connector. Use dielectric grease.
Step 17
Attach the mass air flow sensor connector.
Step 18
Reinstall the air distribution housing assembly.
Step 19
Screw in the fasteners of the air distribution housing assembly. Use a Phillips screwdriver.
Step 20
Install the air filter housing cover.
AUTODOC recommends:
Replacement: air filter – AUDI ALLROAD (4BH, C5). To avoid damaging the part during installation, do not use excessive force.
Step 21
Remove the fender protection cover.
Step 22
Close the hood.
