All the parts you need to replace – Air Filter for A5 Coupe (8T3) and other AUDI models
Replacement: air filter – AUDI A5 (8T3). Do not ignore the maintenance schedule, recommendations, and requirements specified by the manufacturer on the use of the car part.
All work should be done with the engine stopped.
Replacement: air filter – AUDI A5 (8T3). Recommended sequence of steps:
Step 1
Open the bonnet.
Step 2
Use a fender protection cover to prevent damaging paintwork and plastic parts of the car.
Step 3
Unplug the mass air flow sensor connector.
Step 4
Detach the air intake hose clamp. Use a drive socket #7. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 5
Disconnect the air intake pipe from the air filter housing.
Step 6
Undo the fastening screws of the air filter cover. Use Torx T30. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 7
Cover the air intake hose with a microfibre towel to prevent dust and dirt from getting into the system.
Step 8
Take off the filter lid.
Replacement: air filter – AUDI A5 (8T3). AUTODOC experts recommend:
Remove the part vertically with respect to the engine cover.
Step 9
Remove the filter element from the filter housing.
Step 10
Clean the air filter cover and housing.
Replacement: air filter – AUDI A5 (8T3). Tip:
Before cleaning the air filter cover and housing, cover the air duct parts, mass airflow sensor (if available), throttle valve with a clean cloth.
Step 11
Insert a new filter element into the filter housing. Make sure that the filter edge fits tight to the housing.
Replacement: air filter – AUDI A5 (8T3). Tip from AUTODOC experts:
Check out the correct location of the filter element. Do not skew.Attention! Use quality filters – AUDI A5 (8T3).During installation, make sure to prevent dust and dirt from getting into the air filter housing.
Step 12
Reinstall the air filter cover. Fasten it.
Step 13
Screw in the fastening screws of the air filter cover. Use Torx T30. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 14
Remove the microfibre towel from the air intake hose.
Step 15
Connect the air intake pipe to the air filter housing.
Step 16
Fasten the clamp on the air intake hose. Use a drive socket #7. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 17
Plug in the mass air flow sensor conntector.
Step 18
Remove the fender protection cover.
Step 19
Close the hood.
