Just removed the fuel pump from inside the tank on my vectra 2.2 sri 150 02 model to find a split hose which is probably the reason for low fuel pressure and lack of fuel at the injection rail, however the gauze filter on the bottom of th pump is shot, does anyone know how to remove the filter from the pump ? everything else about the job seems relatively easy .

Thanks in advance

Hey! So if you’ve pulled the whole fuel block out of the tank, you’ll need to break it down by taking out the pump and the other bits. That way, you’ll end up with the fuel filter in your hands. Actually the whole block is pretty much a filter, with the rest just being the pump and some other parts.

To avoid any electrical problems, make sure the car is off and unplug the battery. Fuel fumes can be dangerous, so work in a room with good air flow.
