Considering a Used Dacia Sandero Stepway? Share Your Reviews! DACIA Sandero II (10.2012 - ...)
- @stephen 🍏28.05.2025 10:43MemberI've owned a 2018 Dacia Sandero Stepway for about 3 years now, so I can share some real-world experience. Fuel efficiency has been great - I average about 50 mpg in mixed driving. Reliability has been solid too, with just routine maintenance needed so far. The interior is basic but comfortable enough for my needs. One tip: the stock tires wear quickly, so budget for replacements around 25-30k miles. Overall, it's been a fantastic value car for me. The Stepway's slightly higher ride height is nice for visibility and easy entry/exit. Let me know if you have any other specific questions!
- @I.evans28.05.2025 12:51MemberI test drove a 2021 Sandero recently and was pretty impressed for the price. The newer models definitely feel more refined than the 2018 you're looking at. If you can stretch your budget, I'd recommend trying to find a slightly newer used model. The updated infotainment and safety features are worth it in my opinion. That said, even the 2018 is a solid choice if you're after pure value and aren't too fussed about bells and whistles. Just make sure to get a good inspection and check the service history.
- @C. Smith28.05.2025 14:03MemberI had a 2015 Sandero for a few years and while it was incredibly cheap to run, I did find it a bit too basic in the end. The lack of creature comforts started to grate after a while. But if you're coming from an older car, the 2018 model should feel like a nice step up. One thing to watch out for - the manual gearbox can be a bit notchy, especially when cold. Make sure you're comfortable with it on a test drive. And echoing @stephen 🍏, definitely factor in new tires to your budget. But overall, it's hard to beat the Sandero for sheer value for money!
