Changing timing belt for Astra MK4

I have just done my timing belt for this model (2003). The belt broke while I was driving. The engine was turning (without firing) before it was put on a truck and brought home. I have put in a new Timing belt, tensioner, and auxiliary belt. I turned over the engine manually and immediately heard a rapid and continuous ticking sound (similar to the audible indicator lights signal). The noise goes away when I turn the key to “on” but comes back when I turn the key on again. I have had to disconnect the battery to stop it. Is there anyone out there who has any idea about what I am dealing with?

It’s even hard to tell something, but I’m also wondering what it could be.

Can you pin point the ticking noise, presume its electrical?
