@Graziana Venturi04.04.2025 12:45AUTODOC expertHello! Common Audi Q5 Issues

Reliability: Petrol models tend to be more reliable and cheaper to repair than diesel versions, which often suffer from costly brake, electrical, and trim issues. Common problems across both include infotainment glitches, electrical failures, turbocharger issues, and transmission faults.- @jack.t27.05.2025 12:37MemberAs someone who's owned both a 2018 and a 2022 Q5, I can attest to the steady improvements Audi's been making. The 2018 Audi Q5 review I read before buying was spot on about the comfortable ride and solid build quality, but it didn't prepare me for how addictive that virtual cockpit would be!
The 2022 Audi Q5 review I checked out before upgrading highlighted the improved tech, and boy, they weren't kidding. The infotainment system is leagues ahead. If the 2025 model is pushing that even further, I might have to pop down to the dealership for a gander. Just hope they don't go too mad with the screens – I still like a good old-fashioned knob for the volume! - @Harry7727.05.2025 13:22MemberCrikey, mate! You've got me proper excited about this new Q5. I've been puttering around in my 2019 Q5 for a few years now, and while the 2019 Audi Q5 review I read praised its reliability, I've been itching for something with a bit more oomph.
That said, I'm a tad skeptical about all this new tech. My cousin got a 2023 Q5, and while the 2023 Audi Q5 review he showed me was glowing, he's always faffing about with some touchscreen or another. Sometimes I think these cars are getting too clever for their own good. Still, that OLED taillight business sounds proper swish. Might have to take one for a spin when it hits the showrooms – assuming I can figure out how to start the bloomin' thing!

Hey everyone! I’m thinking about buying a used 2018 Audi Q5 and would love to hear your thoughts. What are the pros and cons? Any common issues to watch out for, like with the infotainment system or transmission? Real reviews appreciated!
